Touch from the Lord
Most of these are written for me. I have them here in case they can also be of help to others. I am not an expert, but am still very much the student of these things.
- The Quiet Before the CrossOn the Monday night before the cross, Yeshua didn’t seek crowds or strategy—He returned to Bethany. In the quiet company of those who loved Him, He rested. This moment reveals a profound truth: before facing great battles, even the Son of God chose stillness. There is strength in abiding. There is power in presence.
- Cleanse the Temple, Bear the FruitImagine walking up to a fig tree, all leafy and proud, like it’s about to serve you a five-course meal—only to find it’s basically the fast-food joint that ran out of fries. Yeshua wasn’t amused. No fruit? No future. And just when the disciples thought their day couldn’t get more intense, they follow Him into the temple—and boom, tables are flying, coins are rolling, and doves are flapping like it’s the first-century version of a surprise house inspection. Moral of the story? Don’t be a fruitless fig tree, and definitely don’t turn prayer time into a swap meet.
- Worship Comes FirstWorship comes first. Before we serve, we must first behold the glory of God. This Palm Sunday devotional explores how true ministry flows from a heart of adoration. Learn why Yeshua prioritized worship over work, and how your service gains eternal weight only when it begins with worship.
- Teach Us to Pray Like MosesEver feel like your prayers bounce off the ceiling? Moses talked to God on a mountain wrapped in fire—maybe it’s time we upgraded from “Dear God” to “Teach me to pray like that guy.”
- God’s Spirit Dwells in YouLet’s be honest—if the Holy Spirit actually moved a chair in most churches, half the congregation would call security and the other half would blame the wind. Yet Paul says you’re the temple! Not the shed out back, not the broom closet—the temple. And the Holy Spirit isn’t a shy roommate. He doesn’t tiptoe around with a halo and harp. He moves in like He owns the place—because He does.
- Come to the LordRest, Rise, and Be Healed Come to the Lord. He calls in a voice not of wrath, but of mercy. He does not shout to condemn; He whispers to invite. His arms are open, stretched wide with the scars of love. He is not distant. He is near. Yeshua, the Son of God, cries out to every weary soul: “Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew … Continue reading Come to the Lord
- God’s Hand in Every MinistryBefore revival breaks out in our communities, it must be born in our homes. And before it can rest on our homes, it must begin in our hearts. We must first put our house in order—personally, then as families, and then as the Church. Yes, God will use us where we are, as we are, but He desires to pour out a greater measure of His Spirit. That measure only comes when we repent of tolerated sin, lay it on the altar, and ask Him to fill us with His fiery Spirit of Life. He is not looking for polished performance—He is looking for pure vessels. Will you be one?
- The In BetweenThe In Between is like spiritual airport layover—you’re not where you were, you’re not where you’re going, and no one is bringing you snacks. But God? He’s still at the gate, watching, refining, and preparing your boarding pass for what’s next.
- Revived by the Spirit You ever walk into a church and think, “Did I just interrupt a meeting of the Frozen Chosen?” Everything looks alive—bulletins are printed, coffee’s hot, someone’s strumming a guitar—but spiritually? It’s deader than a cactus in a snowstorm. Sardis had the same issue: lots of motion, zero fire. Jesus called them out—and He’s still calling us back to life today.
- The Spirit of ExpectationSome people wait for coffee to kick in—I’m waiting for heaven to break in. If you’ve ever stared at your ceiling wondering when God will move, this is for you.
- The Everlasting PentecostPentecost came—and it stayed. You who feel distant, who have known the Holy Spirit only as a name in a creed or a whisper in a worship song, listen! He is here. Not in concept or ritual, but in power and presence. “Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16, NASB). This is not poetic suggestion. It is truth that shatters complacency. The God who shook the upper room dwells in you. We have grieved Him by replacing intimacy with activity. We have traded awe for entertainment. Our insensibility to the Spirit is not due to His absence but to our distraction. Yet, He waits. The dove of Heaven still descends upon the hearts that make room.
- The Glory Belongs to GodWhen Moses struck the rock in anger, water flowed—but so did judgment. Though God provided for His people, He held His servant accountable for taking the glory that belonged to Him alone. This moment reveals a sobering truth: no matter how powerfully God moves through you, the glory belongs to God. You are the vessel, not the source. Let the lesson of Meribah press into your spirit—God honors humility, but He resists pride, even in His chosen ones.
- COME TO THE LORDCome to the Lord. Come, not with polished words or practiced worship, but with a thirsty soul and empty hands. Lay it all down—every fear, every failure, every idol. The river is flowing and the Spirit is moving. He is holy, and yet He draws near. He is above all, and yet He calls your name. Come because He is the fire your heart was made to carry. Come because He alone is able to fill the aching places within. Come because He is the One your soul longs for.
- Face to Face with GodTalking with God face to face isn’t just for prophets—it’s the invitation extended to every believer through Yeshua. God desires friendship, not formality. In the stillness, He speaks. In the nearness, He transforms. Step into the tent of meeting and discover the joy of knowing God, not from a distance, but in deep, personal communion.
- Spirit-Anointed PowerThe power that moved through Yeshua’s hands and silenced demons was not distant or unreachable—it was the Spirit of God resting upon Him. And now, that same Spirit dwells in you. You were never meant to live powerless. You were called to walk in Spirit-anointed power, just as your Savior did—healing the broken, standing against darkness, and revealing the kingdom of God with every step.
- The Journey of SanctificationSanctification is not about performance. It is about presence. The more time you spend with Yeshua, the more you begin to mirror His heart. Faith is your foundation, but holiness is the house God is building in you—one stone at a time. Add to your faith, daily. This is not just self-improvement; this is the Spirit forming Christ in you.
- A Fragrance That LingersLiving in the Goodness of the Holy Spirit “The good man from his inner good treasure brings out good things.” — Matthew 12:35, NASB Beloved, let your heart be still before God. Let the world’s winds pass by and lean in to hear the whisper of the Holy Spirit. You are not called to be impressive by the world’s standard. You are called to be faithful. You are not commanded to be … Continue reading A Fragrance That Lingers
- God-Given DiscernmentLet your conscience not grow dull. Let your flame not flicker. Tend it, O child of God, and awaken to the fear of the Lord, for it is the beginning of wisdom and the secret path to His presence. The world may value appearances, but the Spirit within you cries out for truth. You were not born again to live by sight—you were born to burn with God-given discernment, to walk in the light of the One who sees all and knows all.
- Hold On in FaithO Remnant, Awake and Arise You who have not bowed to the idols of comfort, compromise, or culture—this is your hour. You were not called to blend in but to burn with holy fire. While others unravel truth in the name of progress, you are called to hold fast the ancient path, the way marked by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of His testimony. Remember who you are. You are the ones who stay when others walk away. You are the ones who tremble at His Word when others mock it. You are the ones who cry out for more of Him, even in silence, even in exile. The King is near. His eyes are on the faithful few. So hold on. Stand firm. Seek His face. For though many are called, the chosen are those who endure to the end.
- God in the TrialGod in the trial is not silent. He walks into the fire with us, not always to quench the flames, but to prove Himself faithful in the midst of them. Healing may come through prayer or through doctors, but all true healing flows from His hand. The greater miracle is not always the removal of the affliction—it is the nearness of God that transforms us through it. When we emerge from the valley, it is not just our bodies that are changed, but our souls that are awakened. This is our testimony: that we found Him in the fire, and He was enough.
