Call to Return to the Living Word

Dear friend,

I want to speak directly to your heart today. Wherever you are, whatever paths you’ve walked, know that you are deeply loved by God. He is calling out to you, inviting you into a relationship that is real, fulfilling, and transformative.

Perhaps you’ve been searching for truth and meaning in various places—in philosophies, organizations, or teachings that promise enlightenment or hidden wisdom. Maybe you’ve felt burdened by rituals or obligations that seem to offer much but leave you feeling empty. I want you to know that true peace and fulfillment are found in Jesus Christ, the Living Word.

Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest”(Matthew 11:28). His invitation is open and free, requiring no secret knowledge or complex rituals—just a willing heart. He offers a relationship based on love and grace, not on our efforts or achievements.

Think about the story of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32. The son wandered far from his father, seeking fulfillment in distant places. Yet, when he chose to return home, his father saw him from a long way off and ran to embrace him. This is how God feels about you. No matter how far you’ve strayed or what you’ve sought after, He is ready to welcome you with open arms.

The Bible tells us, “In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge”(Colossians 2:3). You don’t need to search elsewhere or adhere to secret teachings to find truth. Jesus Himself is the embodiment of all that we need. He is “the way and the truth and the life” (John 14:6), and through Him, we have direct access to God the Father.

If you’ve been involved in groups or practices that promise deeper insight but leave you feeling disconnected from God, consider this a gentle call back to the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ. The Apostle Paul cautioned against being led astray from this simplicity (2 Corinthians 11:3), reminding us that our faith doesn’t require added layers—just a sincere relationship with Jesus.

Remember when Jesus met the Samaritan woman at the well (John 4:1-26)? She had searched for meaning in many places, yet Jesus offered her “living water” so she would never thirst again. He knows your deepest needs and longs to satisfy them fully.

I encourage you to lay down any burdens, doubts, or affiliations that hinder your walk with God. “Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles”(Hebrews 12:1). Embrace the freedom found in Christ, who said, “If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed” (John 8:36).

This is a personal invitation. Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart (Revelation 3:20). Will you open it? Will you allow Him to fill you with His love, grace, and truth?

Today is the day to step into the light of His love. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17). You don’t have to walk this path alone. Reach out to Him in prayer, seek guidance in His Word, and connect with others who can support you on this journey.

God loves you more than you can imagine. He is calling you back to Himself—not into religion, but into a relationship. Take His hand, and discover the abundant life He has promised.

Closing Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come before You with a humble heart, acknowledging my need for Your grace and mercy. I realize that I have sought meaning and truth in places that have led me away from You. I confess that I have strayed, and I ask for Your forgiveness.

Lord Jesus, You are the Living Word, the Way, the Truth, and the Life. I believe that You died for my sins and rose again, conquering death so that I might have eternal life with You. I turn away from all that has separated me from You—every false path, every hidden allegiance—and I turn wholeheartedly to You.

Please cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit, that I may walk in Your truth and live according to Your will.

I open the door of my heart and invite You in, Lord Jesus. Be my Savior and my Lord. Lead me in the path of everlasting life. Thank You for Your unfailing love, Your endless mercy, and the gift of salvation.

In Your precious name I pray,

Strengthen faith in God

Dear Reader, I write to you today of faith—a steadfast trust in the God who hears, sees, and acts on behalf of those who love Him. Faith is not just belief, but an active, unshakable confidence in God’s promises, even in the midst of the unknown. This faith, as countless saints have shown, transforms lives, moves mountains, and brings about the very answers we seek in prayer.

Faith is our shield, our protection in times of trial. The Apostle Paul reminds us, “Take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one” (Ephesians 6:16, AMP). When doubts and fears rise, hold firm to this shield. For the Lord has shown throughout history that even the smallest faith, like a mustard seed, can move mountains. As Jesus said, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move” (Matthew 17:20, AMP).

In the Old Testament, we see faith moving the hearts of kings, prophets, and the lowliest servants. Abraham, our father in faith, “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness” (Genesis 15:6; Romans 4:3, AMP). When God called Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, Abraham’s faith in God’s goodness and promise enabled him to obey, believing that God could even raise Isaac from the dead if necessary (Hebrews 11:17-19, AMP). Such faith was counted as righteousness, a testimony that faith rooted in trust leads to God’s provision and promise.

Consider also David, who faced Goliath not with armor but with faith. “The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine” (1 Samuel 17:37, AMP). David’s faith brought him victory because he knew that the battle belonged to the Lord. Faith led to answered prayers and gave David victory against impossible odds.

The prophet Daniel’s friends, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, displayed this unwavering faith when faced with a fiery furnace. They boldly declared, “If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it… But even if He does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods” (Daniel 3:17-18, AMP). Their faith brought forth a miracle as God walked with them in the flames, sparing their lives and revealing His glory.

In Hebrews, we read of those honored for their faith—the “Hall of Faith.” “Now faith is the assurance [title deed, confirmation] of things hoped for [divinely guaranteed], and the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1, AMP). The ancient saints “conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised” (Hebrews 11:33, AMP) by faith. Their lives speak to us, reminding us that faith reaches beyond what we can see, standing firm in God’s promises.

Faith is also the victory that overcomes the world. “This is the victory that has conquered and overcome the world—our [continuing, persistent] faith [in Jesus the Son of God]” (1 John 5:4, AMP). With faith, you can approach God, trusting that He is both willing and able to answer your prayers. For “without faith, it is impossible to walk with God and please Him”(Hebrews 11:6, AMP). When you pray, believe that He hears, for Jesus promised, “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer” (Matthew 21:22, AMP). Faith is not a vague hope; it is a firm expectation that God will fulfill His promises to those who seek Him.

Let us, then, unite faith with love, for “faith working through love” (Galatians 5:6, AMP) fulfills the law of Christ. Let your faith show forth in love for God and for others, so that your actions testify to the life and power of your faith. For as James reminds us, “faith, if it does not have works [to back it up], is by itself dead” (James 2:17, AMP).

Beloved, let your faith be an assurance in your heart. Hold on to the unseen promises of God, for this is the substance of true faith. We are called to walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7, AMP), resting on the truth that our God will fulfill what He has spoken. Stay rooted in the Word of God, for “faith comes from hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the [preaching of the] message concerning Christ” (Romans 10:17, AMP). Allow the Word to nourish you, let it strengthen and deepen your faith.

Finally, in all your trials and triumphs, hold fast to your faith as the saints of old did. Remember Abraham, Moses, David, and the prophets who believed without seeing, whose trust in God was unwavering. Remember the faithful in Hebrews, who endured through faith, “commended for their faith, yet none of them received [all] that was promised” (Hebrews 11:39, AMP). They held fast, not because they saw, but because they trusted in the One who is faithful.

Beloved, I urge you to stand strong in your faith. This faith, precious and enduring, will lead to answered prayers, to victory in trials, and to the joy of knowing you are deeply loved by the God who never fails. May your faith, rooted in His promises, carry you forward into all He has prepared. Press on in faith, for He is faithful who has promised.

Let us Pray

Heavenly Father, I come before You with a heart full of faith, knowing that You are near to me as I call upon Your name. Lord, strengthen my heart today. Let Your Spirit fill me with a deep, unshakable trust in Your promises. Draw me close, closer than I have ever known, that I may feel Your presence surrounding me, lifting me up, and sustaining me.

Father, breathe life into my faith. Where I have doubt, bring me assurance; where I feel fear, replace it with courage. Let Your Word come alive within me, igniting a fire that will never burn out. Help me to walk by faith and not by sight, to lean on Your everlasting arms, and to hold fast to Your truth even when the path ahead is unclear.

Lord, I look to You as my Rock, my Shield, and my Deliverer. Teach me to trust in You fully, to place my hope in Your unfailing love, and to rest in the peace that only You can give. Let my faith be strong and unyielding, a testimony to those around me. Lead me, Lord, into a deeper intimacy with You, that I may experience the fullness of Your grace and be filled with the joy of Your presence.

Thank You, Lord, for Your goodness and faithfulness. I ask all of this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus. Amen.

For Those Seeking More

To those yearning for a closer walk, He assures you:

“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

“Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him.”
(Hosea 6:3, NIV)

Don’t settle for surface-level faith. Dive deep into His Word and let His truths saturate your soul.

Growing in Grace and Knowledge

Even if you’ve journeyed with Him for years, there’s always more to discover. The Apostle Paul expressed this longing:

“I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings.”
(Philippians 3:10, NIV)

Let us heed the call to:

“Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
(2 Peter 3:18, NIV)

Our relationship with God is a lifelong journey of growth and transformation.

Abiding in His Love

God’s love is the foundation of this deeper relationship. Remember:

“We love because he first loved us.”
(1 John 4:19, NIV)

And:

“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.”
(1 John 4:7, NIV)

Allow His love to fill you, overflow through you, and touch those around you.

Responding to His Call

The Lord is calling you now. He stands at the door of your heart:

“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.”
(Revelation 3:20, NIV)

Don’t let this moment pass. Embrace His invitation.

“Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.”
(James 4:8, ESV)

Step into the light of His presence, and let His glory shine upon you.

Conclusion

Beloved, the Lord’s arms are open wide. Whether you’re seeking Him for the first time or desiring to deepen your walk, His promise is true:

“I will give them a heart to know me.”

Now is the time. Arise and shine, for your light has come!

This hope is unshakeable, even when life feels uncertain. It’s an anchor for your soul, keeping you steady and secure. No matter what the future holds, know this: God holds your future. He has plans for you—good plans filled with hope and purpose. This hope is for today, for this very moment. Hebrews 6:19 assures us, “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.”

You may wonder what God is doing in your life, especially during tough times. The truth is, God is always at work. Prayer of Cleansing

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with humble hearts, acknowledging our need for Your cleansing power. As the psalmist cried out, “Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults” (Psalm 19:12), we too ask for Your mercy. Wash us thoroughly from our iniquity and cleanse us from our sin (Psalm 51:2). Purge us with hyssop, and we shall be clean; wash us, and we shall be whiter than snow (Psalm 51:7). Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within us (Psalm 51:10).

For Your name’s sake, O Lord, deliver us and provide atonement for our sins, for Your name’s glory (Psalm 79:9). Just as Peter requested, we ask, “Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head!” (John 13:9). Immerse us fully in Your purifying presence.

Lord, we ask that Your Spirit come mightily upon us, transforming us into new creations with hearts set on You (1 Samuel 10:6). Renew our minds, that we may be conformed to Your will, and not to this world (Romans 12:2). Strengthen us, that we might rise up with wings like eagles, running and not growing weary, walking and not fainting (Isaiah 40:31). Grant us a new heart and a new spirit, as You have promised, that we might walk in Your statutes (Ezekiel 18:31).

We trust that You, who began a good work in us, will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). For it is You who works in us, both to will and to do for Your good pleasure (Philippians 2:13). Transform us daily into the image of Christ, renewing us in knowledge and holiness (Colossians 3:10, Ephesians 4:23). Let the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit be evident in our lives (Titus 3:5), as obedient children of the Most High (1 Peter 1:14).

Father, hear our prayer, that Your people may be revived and turned back to You (1 Kings 18:37, 2 Chronicles 19:4). Restore our souls, O Lord, and lead us in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake (Psalm 23:3). Restore to us the joy of Your salvation and uphold us by Your generous Spirit (Psalm 51:12). Bring us back from our wayward paths, for You are the God of our salvation (Psalm 85:4, Jeremiah 3:22).

Heal us, O Lord, and we shall be healed; save us, and we shall be saved, for You are our praise (Jeremiah 30:17). Heal our backsliding and love us freely, casting all our sins into the depths of the sea (Hosea 14:4, Micah 7:19). Let us sit at Your feet, clothed and in our right minds, rejoicing in the newness of life (Luke 8:35, Luke 15:22).

O Lord, restore us to Yourself, and we shall return; renew our days as of old (Lamentations 5:21). We pray that Christ be fully formed in us (Galatians 4:19) and that we may bear one another’s burdens, fulfilling the law of Christ (Galatians 6:1).

We offer this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

  • For the love of Jesus Christ / Who has resurrected me:
    Ephesians 2:4–5 (AMP) “But God, being [so very] rich in mercy, because of His great and wonderful love with which He loved us, even when we were [spiritually] dead and separated from Him because of our sins, He made us [spiritually] alive together with Christ (for by His grace—His undeserved favor and mercy—you have been saved from God’s judgment).”

Verse 5: Unity

(Sometimes I add additional verses to songs, because I think they are really good and I don’t want them to stop. This is one of those circumstances. These are not part of the published song.)

  • To unite the hearts of nations / Every tribe and every tongue:
    Revelation 7:9 (AMP) “After these things I looked, and this is what I saw: a vast multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all the tribes and peoples and languages of the earth, standing before the throne and before the Lamb (Christ), dressed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands.”
  • In His love we find our purpose / In His grace, we are made one:
    Ephesians 4:4–6 (AMP) “There is one body [of believers] and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when called [to salvation]—one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of us all who is [sovereign] over all and [working] through all and [living] in all.”
  • For the Spirit binds us closely / With a bond that cannot break:
    Ephesians 4:3 (AMP) “Make every effort to keep the oneness of the Spirit in the bond of peace [each individual working together to make the whole successful].”
  • Through His Church, we shine His glory / For the world to see His grace:
    Matthew 5:14–16 (AMP) “You are the light of [Christ to] the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven.”

Verse 6: End Time Revival

  • In the last days, we’re awakened / By a mighty, rushing wind:
    Acts 2:17 (AMP) “‘And it shall be in the last days,’ says God, ‘That I will pour out My Spirit upon all mankind; And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, And your young men shall see [divinely prompted] visions, And your old men shall dream [divinely prompted] dreams.’”
    Acts 2:2 (AMP) “Suddenly a sound came from heaven like a rushing violent wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.”
  • As His Spirit moves among us / Hearts are turned, lives begin:
    Joel 2:28–29 (AMP) “‘It shall come about after this That I shall pour out My Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and your daughters will prophesy, Your old men will dream dreams, Your young men will see visions. Even on the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.’”
    Ezekiel 36:26 (AMP) “Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.”
  • For the fields are ripe for harvest / And the workers now arise:

  • In this end-time holy revival / We will see our Savior’s prize:

You too, be patient; strengthen your hearts [keep them energized and firmly committed to God], because the coming of the Lord is near.”

Verse 7: The Return of Jesus

  • Soon He’ll come in clouds of glory / With a trumpet loud and clear:
    1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 (AMP) “For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven with a shout of command, with the voice of the archangel and with the blast of the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain [on the earth] will simultaneously be caught up (raptured) together with them [the resurrected ones] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord!”
    Revelation 1:7 (AMP) “Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him [realizing their sin and guilt, and anticipating the coming wrath]. So it is to be. Amen.”
  • Every knee will bow before Him / Every heart will lose its fear:
    Philippians 2:10–11 (AMP) “so that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow [in submission], of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess and openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord (sovereign God), to the glory of God the Father.”
    Revelation 21:4 (AMP) “and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be death; there will no longer be sorrow and anguish, or crying, or pain; for the former order of things has passed away.”
  • For the King of all creation / Will return to claim His own:
    Matthew 24:30–31 (AMP) “And at that time the sign of the Son of Man [coming] in the clouds will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth [and especially Israel] will mourn [regretting their rebellion and rejection of the Messiah], and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory [in brilliance and splendor]. And He will send His angels with a loud trumpet and they will gather together His elect (God’s chosen ones) from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.”
    Revelation 22:12 (AMP) “‘Behold, I (Jesus) am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to each one [according to] the merit of his deeds (earthly works, faithfulness).’”
  • And in this, our final victory / We’ll be welcomed to His throne:
    1 Corinthians 15:54–57 (AMP) “And when this perishable puts on the imperishable, and this mortal puts on immortality, then the Scripture will be fulfilled that says, ‘Death is swallowed up in victory (vanquished forever). O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?’ The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin [by which it brings death] is the law; but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory [as conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
    Revelation 3:21 (AMP) “He who overcomes [the world through believing that Jesus is the Son of God], I will grant to him [the privilege] to sit beside Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down beside My Father on His throne.”

God’s Love and Grace: A Morning Reflection

As we begin this new day, let’s turn our hearts and minds toward God, our Creator and Sustainer, and reflect on God’s love and grace. The psalmist declares, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands” (Psalm 19:1). Take a moment to reflect on the majesty of God’s creation around you—the sun rising, the birds singing, the beauty of nature. Each element of creation points us back to the greatness of our God and His love and grace.

In our busy lives, it’s easy to forget to pause and marvel at God’s handiwork. Yet, when we do, we are reminded of His power, presence, love, and grace. As we acknowledge His greatness, let us also remember His personal care for each of us. Jesus said, “Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows” (Luke 12:6-7). This is a beautiful reminder of God’s love and grace.

God’s care for us is not only evident in His creation but also in His promises. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11). As we trust in His plans, we find peace and security, knowing that He is in control and has good intentions for our lives. Trusting in God’s love and grace allows us to experience true peace.

This morning, let’s draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings. “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you” (James 4:8). As we approach Him, let’s be honest about our needs, our struggles, and our desires, confident that He hears us and is ready to respond. Experiencing God’s love and grace starts with drawing near to Him.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You this morning with grateful hearts. Your love is strong, and Your grace is deep. Thank You for the beauty of Your creation, which reminds us of Your greatness, love, and grace. Help us to trust in Your plans for our lives, knowing that You have our best interests at heart. Draw us closer to You today, and let us experience Your love and grace in a profound way. Guide our steps, strengthen our faith, and fill us with Your peace. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

As you go about your day, remember that God’s love and grace are with you, guiding you and sustaining you in all that you do.
